MADDY JUSTICE KEEP ON SHINING FUND

Raising awareness of pediatric cancer and funds to promote pediatric cancer research, in loving memory of Maddy Justice.

HISTORY

Maddy Justice was an incredible 15-year-old who lost her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in 2013. Maddy’s dad and Tatum’s dad worked together for many years, and because they had both children with cancer, they developed a special bond. In fact, Maddy and Tatum also became friends.

Despite enduring 11 rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, two bone marrow transplants, and many other procedures and painful side effects, Maddy never lost her positive attitude. She inspired everyone who knew her with her decision to keep on shining – no matter what.

After Maddy lost her battle with AML, the Justice family decided they wanted to do something positive in her memory – something that would honor her life in a special way. So they started the Maddy Justice Keep on Shining Fund. The Keep On Shining Fund builds awareness about pediatric cancer and raises important funds to move pediatric cancer research forward. But that’s not all.

One of Maddy’s biggest goals was to graduate from Franklin Central High School. Now, the Maddy Justice Keep On Shining Memorial Scholarship is a tribute to that goal. Every year, a deserving student receives a scholarship in Maddy’s name to help them make their own dreams a reality.
